Hi Den, I just wanted to give you an update regarding the wedding speech. Leading up to it I had full confidence from following your advice.The maid of honor ended up giving her speech first and from that point on I knew I had it in the bag considering she started her speech by saying she didn't actually write one and was going to talk off the top of her head. It only went downhill from there. I was watching the crowd the whole time and I saw the moment the crowd lost interest in the speech due to rambling and improper planning.I felt extremely embarrassed for the bride considering her maid of honor was her sister. Once it was my turn I did everything exactly how you told me to practice and every time I looked up I had the full attention of the crowd. It was quiet enough to hear a pin drop. The entire crowd followed me throughout the whole speech and laughed at funny parts. I can't express how happy it made me feel that I was able to honor the bride and groom in the way they deserve by giving everyone an honest glimpse of how I felt about them. I could not get past the first sentence for my father of the bride speech. I couldn't understand why since I had no problem writing a speech for my son's wedding.
